I decided to get a second quote on a deck, and went through the Pro-referral from The Home Depot. Mike from MDH Decks called me right away, and I set-up an appointment to get a quote. I was real happy with the professionalism Mike displayed right away, from going over what I was looking for, his ideas, the way he handled the quote, and giving me the time to make a decision. When I decided to go-through with the deck, I definitely felt comfortable with MDH Decks being the contractor. Mike had also shown me pictures of previous work , which looked great. He obviously knew what he was doing, and was good at it. The experience of working with Mike was a pleasure and the deck came out incredible; better than I could have imagined. We are so impressed with MDH Decks! Mike Hays, the owner, was so prompt in bidding our small stairs and landing project. Our previous contractor bailed, leaving us in a bind, as all of our backyard landscaping was being done and the stairs and landing had to go in. Mike completed much of the hard work of getting the footings and stringers in so our landscaping job could proceed. He didn't have to do this, as it was small-scale work in comparison with his other jobs, but he did it, on-time. Everything was cleaned-up afterward, and his crew had the ability to work around other contractors. What a plus! In addition, he prepared a materials list of the items we would need to complete our project, which was much appreciated! MDH Decks sets a high bar for excellence that all deck contractors should strive for! We wish we could find such excellence in all our home contracting projects!
